DON'T HESITATE TO BUY THIS CDDec 27, 2001

What can I say other than this is a great CD. Beethoven was a master and his music will live forever. Altough I don't like every single symphony he composed, I love all the pieces on this album. These selections have "fire and passion," and I listen to them over and over again. Enjoy!!

Well Done!Dec 28, 2008
By Applegirl I wanted a sampling of Beethoven's works after viewing "Copying Beethoven" and this CD lived up to my expectations. This CD is a good overview of some of his great works. Glad I bought it.

Solid BeethovenSep 17, 2011
By Shyam Amladi I like some of the pieces, both for selection and the way they are conducted and played. There is so much to choose from in Beethoven's music that you could create a list of dozen or more "Best of Beethoven" albums and would be right each time. However, this particular album is thoughtfully chosen to present a varietal mix between soft and sharp note-patterns. Of particular note are the Turkish March (minor scale) and Egmont Overture (major scale). The last part of the 6th symphony is played plaintively, a bit too plaintive for my taste, but nevertheless exceedingly melodious. All in all, I like this album which represents wonderful diversity and breadth of perhaps the greatest composer of his time.

Great Musice at a great price!Dec 27, 2011
By ursa Bought this one used. A very solid collection of music by Beethoven. Have many of the selections on this disc elsewhere but this is a convenient collection to play.

"realistic"
My 10 year old grandson asked me to purchase this CD for him. He enjoys listening to Beethoven's music as well as music for his age group. He'll take time out and go to his room and listen to this CD,
especially when his younger brother and sister gets on his nerves.
