 I really enjoyed this CDMay 03, 2010
I am a Les Miserables fanatic. In addition to this, I own the Les Miserables Dream Cast recording.
It is really interesting to hear different actors play/sing the characters that I like. Philip Quast is my favorite singer ever, and it's really interesting to hear how he played Javert in his earlier career of the character.
I also enjoy listening to how different performers depict the various characters. It is helpful to know which songs are included on the CDs, because this is not a complete set of the musical numbers, but it does have the added bonus of 17 Valjeans.

I recorded this music when I first saw it on public tv and loved it. 'Les Miserables' is my favorite musical. My recording, however, was on VHS tape and I couldn't watch it anymore. This is a wonderful recording especially for those of us who weren't able to see the original. It was almost like watching the play on stage. I would recommend it to anyone and have.

Absolutely magnificient! One of the best musicals ever, even if you're not a fan musicals. Heartfelt story that really is for all ages.

 sent a cd found on the freeway?1?Feb 18, 2010
A cd that is rated as "good" I would expect to be playable. Well, one of the two set cd's was playable,but the other literally looked like it had been left out on the freeway for semis and trucks to roll over and over and over. I couldn't believe the condition of the cd. When I tried to communicate with the company, they did not return any of my e-mails. Thanks to Amazon, I did receive a refund for the cd and some postage. However, I'm out 13.40 for the return postage of the cd set. I would never do business with this company again. They have a customer service e-mail with no communication whatsoever. What good is that? I am thoroughly disgusted.

I followed the recommendation of other reviewers, and was not disappointed...this is a very satisfying C/D of the musical....after repeated playing, it still thrills.
