5Gregorian Chant GemsAug 27, 2005
By James L. Christ
It is wonderful to hear again the chants that are familiar to all Catholics who grew up with the Latin Mass and who remember the plain chants from the Liber Usualis. Victimae paschali laudes (the Sequence from the Easter Mass), Gaudens gaudebo in Domino (Rejoicing, I shall rejoice in the Lord), Pueri hebraeorum (the beautiful entrance song to the Palm Sunday Mass), and all the other chants. They are performed by a choir that understands the beauty and simplicity of Gregorian Chant.

5Peaceful, inspirational, beautiful... At an unbeatable priceSep 07, 2003

This CD follows up the first volume with more beautiful chants. The recording is high quality, and the singing is superb (for plainsong). The pearl on this recording is track #18, 'Veni creator.' At less than seven dollars, this CD is one you must add to your library!

5A spiritual wonder of beauty!Sep 24, 2000
By The English Chap
As you play these Gregorian Chants, think of the days when the monastic people worshipped their God in a divine manner. Picture the morning mist rising outside of some stone Monastery in the forest, and picture the sound of the chants of these devout men worshipping their creator. This CD caputres all of this and more. It calms your spirit and gives you such soothing peace that it is no wonder not more people are buying this CD. I highly reccomend anyone....yes.....anyone to get this. A marvelous beauty that is sensational! The Gregorian monks did it again!

4It's $8, stop looking around and just buy it.Dec 10, 2009
By R. Zielinski
This is a great CD. I've been listening to "Chant" by Gregorian Chant and The Benedictine Monks of Santo Domingo de Silos for a few years now and decided to look for another disc. The biggest difference between this album and "Chant" is the sound of the monks. While the sound quality on both CD's are great, "Chant" has a cleaner/studio sound where as "Lost in Meditation" has noticeable reverberation as though it was recorded in a great hall/cathedral/monastery. I feel that this subtle echo adds more depth and warmth to the pieces being performed. For $8 this disc is a great buy for people seeking deep, relaxing, meditative religious music. Playing it quietly at night seems to help our infant son go to sleep. It's being docked 1 star because of the lack of any sort of liner notes.

5SUPREME GREGORIAN CHANTDec 16, 2009
By DAVID HALL
I have loved Gregorian Chant music since the first instant I ever heard it. I've purchased many Gregorian Chant albums. But this one, LOST IN MEDITATION: MEDITATIVE GREGORIAN CHANTS (Vol. 2), performed by CAPELLA GREGORIANA, that I purchased on-line through Amazon for an amazing bargain price, is absolutely the most beautiful Gregorian Chant album I've ever listened to. There is a pristine clarity, a richness and BEAUTY of sound to the male and female choral artists that are CAPELLA GEORGIANA, that I've never heard before. The album was recorded and/or produced by Delta Music Inc. in Santa Monica, CA in 1994. I'm awaiting Vol.1 which I've also ordered from Amazon. If you are interested in calming, centering, and nurturing your spirit, mind and body, I cannot recommend a better c.d. than this one.
